My Story
Hello, I’m Meagan an accredited Financial Planner (PFP® & QAFP®) and Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) based in Ontario, with more than 20 years of experience helping individuals and families make confident, informed decisions about their money.
For nearly two decades, I built my career within major Canadian financial institutions, progressing from junior roles to senior advisory positions. Along the way, I worked closely with high-net-worth clients, managing and supporting multi-million-dollar portfolios and guiding complex financial decisions that ranged from everyday banking needs to sophisticated wealth strategies. Most recently, I advised more than 300 clients representing over $1.3 billion in combined investment, credit, and banking balances. These experiences shaped my disciplined, practical approach to financial planning one grounded in clarity, personalization, and long-term thinking.
Working inside large institutions also gave me something invaluable: perspective. I gained a deep understanding of how systems, frameworks, and incentive structures influence how advice is delivered at scale. While many professionals do their best within those environments, I realized I wanted the freedom to provide advice that was fully independent guidance that begins and ends with the client’s goals, values, and definition of success, without the influence of proprietary products, sales quotas, or institutional priorities.
That realization led me to carve my own path.
Today, my practice is built on providing objective, conflict-free financial advice. Being independent allows me to design strategies tailored specifically to each client’s situation, maintain full transparency in how recommendations are developed, and focus solely on what serves my clients’ best interests. My role is not simply to create financial plans, but to help people feel confident, informed, and in control of their financial lives.
I hold a Master’s Degree in Business Management and maintain professional designations recognized under Ontario’s Financial Professionals Title Protection Act. These credentials reflect advanced education, ongoing regulatory oversight, and a continuing commitment to professional excellence ensuring clients receive advice grounded in both expertise and integrity.
What truly drives my work is the belief that financial advice should feel personal, understandable, and empowering. I take the time to listen carefully, ask meaningful questions, and translate complex financial concepts into clear, practical strategies that fit the life you want to live. Whether you are planning for retirement, navigating major life transitions, managing risk, or building long-term wealth, my goal is to provide guidance that is thoughtful, realistic, and aligned with what matters most to you.
This is the standard of advice I would want for myself and my own family and it is the standard I have built my practice on.
Principles That Guide My Advice
Compassion
You can’t control every financial challenge life brings, but you can choose how you’re supported through it. In every interaction, you will be met with respect, empathy, and thoughtful attention.
Finances are deeply personal. My role is to listen first, understand fully, and ensure you feel confident and supported not rushed or judged.
Your voice matters, and your concerns will always be taken seriously.
Transparency
Life experience shapes how we view money. I understand this personally, having navigated the realities of caregiving, health challenges, and uncertainty.
No topic is off-limits. I believe in open conversations and honest answers, because informed decisions are empowered decisions.
I will walk you through each step, explaining the “why” behind every choice, so you feel confident in the path forward for you and your family.
Fiducial Commitment
You deserve advice that serves you, not products or commissions. As a fiduciary, every recommendation I make is guided solely by your best interests.
This means clarity over complexity, transparency over pressure, and decisions rooted in what truly supports your long-term well-being.
Your goals drive the plan always.
Steady Progress
Progress is rarely linear. Sometimes it’s a major milestone; other times it’s simply staying steady during a difficult season.
Wherever you are, I meet you there.Through life changes, health updates, evolving goals, or moments when you just need guidance. I remain by your side.
Together, we will move forward at a pace that fits your life, your priorities, and your comfort.
